Eby's Family Fun Skate Center
We've been a family owned and operated business since Harry Eby first opened the rink in 1953. The facility has changed a lot over the last 50 years, but our commitment to the local community has not. Our 25,000 square foot facility has a recently remodeled snack bar with plenty of seating for your next birthday, school or church party.
FAQ's
When is the best time to bring kids that are just beginning to skate?
Saturday and Sunday afternoon is our family skate and is the best time to bring beginners. The music and atmosphere is appropriate for families and younger children. The pace is slower and the staff is better able to assist with beginners.
What kind of music do you play on Friday nights? How old are the kids that skate on Friday's?
The Friday evening sessions are geared towards the pre-teen and teenager. We play the music on U93 and 95.7 (pop and rap music). The ages vary but generally from 10 to 15 years old is our typical crowd on a Friday night.
Is my child old enough to skate on Friday nights?
Age is only one thing to consider, their actual skill level is also important. The Friday evening public sessions has experienced skaters, and the pace is much faster.
Can I bring in my own in-line skates?
You may bring in your own in-line skates as long as they are clean and in good repair, no nuts or bolts protruding from the side of the skate and they have a working heel stop.
Can I bring in my own music for you to play?
We do not accept any music during our public sessions. If you rent the rink out privately, then you can bring in your own music.
If I am not skating, just there to watch my children skate, do I have to pay a fee?
There is never a spectator fee for adults. Kids under 18 are expected to skate and pay a fee unless they are accompanied by an adult.
Do you accept checks?
We only accept credit cards, debt cards and cash.
Do you provide skate lessons?
We have classes through-out the year on Sundays. Contact the skate center for the next available class.

A late skate is when we extend our public skate session on Friday nights to 12am. Kids skate from 7pm to 12am. Our late skates are generally scheduled on the last Friday of the month.
Do you have different hours in the summer time?
The rink is closed on Sundays during the months of June, July & August.
Quad or Inline skates which is better?
Inline skates are great for hockey, one can change direction quickly and they are faster then quad skates. Inline are great for outside on uneven ground, sidewalks or bike trails, they roll over small pebbles or bumps in the road with less risk.
The quad skate is much safer for indoor skating. The quad after a little bit of practice provides better control around curves and requires less effort and force to skate and more importantly to STOP. Your feet and legs will also not tire as fast.
Can I bring in a birthday cake during a public skate session to celebrate my child's birthday?
If you would like to bring in a cake, you have to schedule a birthday party with us.
I would like to purchase some skates, do you have a lay-away plan?
When purchasing skates 50% is required down. The remainder of the balance is due when you pick-up your skates.
